Emma Kate Dance Academy Covid-19 Policy

ARRIVAL

Prompt drop off / pick up. Please do not arrive early for drop off or late for pick up.

If parents / guardians need to enter the venue, it is requested by the academy and our venues that all adults wear a face covering.

All classes at all venues will be operating on a one way system. Students must be dropped off at their usual entrance, and picked up at the fire exit. Parents / guardians will be directed to the pick up points.

On entering the hall, students must use the hand sanitiser provided.

Students must put their coat, bag and clearly labelled water bottle in a hoop. Please only bring essential items.

Students will then choose a socially distanced marker spot and sit on it.
DURING DANCE CLASS

If close contact is needed for injury, illness or showing younger students to the bathroom, teachers will wear a face covering.

Parents/guardians must be ready and prepared to collect their child from dance class at any time if they are unable to follow the required rules or if they become unwell.
DEPARTURE

Students will wait in their designated hoop with their possessions, ready for pick-up.

Students must use hand sanitiser on exit.
PLEASE NOTE:
NO STUDENT OR TEACHER SHOULD ATTEND CLASS AT THE EMMA KATE DANCE ACADEMY IF THEY ARE DISPLAYING SYMPTOMS OF COVID-19.
What happens if a student tests positive for Covid-19?
Should a student test positive, you must not attend class at The Emma Kate Dance Academy until the self isolation period has ended. Our Covid-19 protocols will always be in place and therefore the class will continue to be delivered. However if your child subsequently displays any symptoms we advise you to get a test.

What happens if a teacher tests positive for Covid-19?
If a teacher from The Emma Kate Dance Academy tests positive for Covid-19 we will endeavour to get the relevant classes covered. However if we cannot, make-up classes will be arranged. Teachers will be tested regularly.
Parents/guardians must have read and made sure their child understands the importance of these rules before they return to dance class with The Emma Kate Dance Academy.
